Yellow perforations whisper light forms tangentially.
I see cold sublime, I see heat.
Shadows circle as I am swept up into the sky.
Clouds cry.
I am lost in emerging wind,
rising up from the rock.
The shadows turn and beckon me.
They say I must, and I must.
Crystalline, saline frozen pools,
shimmer and mark my traces.
Destroyer of shadows,
flood this rock with my body.
Blue leaves, calling, as I'm falling. Up.
I breathe oceans, whose tides open in glimmers and gulps.
Luminous.
Honestly, this might be favorite release from these guys. While the sprawling nature of the songs on Griseus (and to a lesser extent, Bellum I) allow for a lot of great stuff to be shown off, I need to be in a specific mood to appreciate them.
Arbor doesn't really have that problem, however. This EP has a manageable length that still leaves me satisfied at the end of the day. Plus, all four of the songs here are among the best the band has to offer in general. honeycombguy
